Vendor Spotlight: King Cole Catering

Food is a vital part of any wedding, setting the tone for the reception and delighting your guests. For an impressive culinary experience, consider King Cole Catering. Known for their exceptional food and service, they're sure to elevate your special day. Read on to learn more about what they offer.

How far in advance do you recommend booking a caterer?

For weddings we always recommend at least one year in advance to be sure you get your desired date. That being said, we are still booking weddings for summer 2024 as we speak. If you are flexible, you can still plan a wedding in less than six months.

What are some questions potential clients should ask their caterer prior to securing them for the wedding day?

What is included with the price, what service style do they recommend for the venue, how long will dinner service take, can we have seconds (buffet), how is the food prepared and transported to the venue.

What are some commonly overlooked costs associated with catering?

Staff and equipment fees (including early setup), how timelines affect pricing (i.e. you need the staff on site two hours before the dinner service to avoid driving through the ceremony, having late lunch at 11 pm vs. 10pm), Gratuity, travel fees

What are some of your favorite dishes/entrees to offer for a wedding day and why?

Lately these dishes have been very popular with KCC staff and customers: Beef Striploin with Red Wine Au Jus, Chicken Breast with Pesto Sauce, Roasted Tomatoes and Feta, Beef Brisket with Green Peppercorn Sauce, Mushroom Ravioli with Roast Garlic Cream, Gourmet Mac and Cheese and of course the King Cole Salad!
